Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious banana bread recipe:
- 2 cups/240 grams sifted flour
- 2 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup/113 grams of butter
- 2/3 cup/135 grams sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3-4 bananas
OPTIONAL but highly recommended – 1 cup or 125 g chopped walnuts
Directions
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
- Beat the butter until creamy, gradually adding sugar, beat until fluffy after each addition.
- Add eggs and beat until thick.
- Add the bananas mashing the small bits.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, alternately blending thoroughly after each addition.
- Fold in the nuts.
- Grease the bottom of a loaf pan and pour in the mixture.
- Bake for one hour at 350F/180C degrees.
