Data and Privacy Policy
Introduction
By using this website and/or my other services, you are agreeing to my Data and Privacy Agreement. This statement and policy shown here was created so that the Mindful Soul Center and its editor, Amy M Adams would
1. Be clear about this site’s purpose and intention and,
2. Be in compliance with the law.
First for the purpose of simplification of this document, myself Amy M. Adams as sole proprietor dba the Mindful Soul Center will be referred to as https://themindfulsoulcenter.com or https://mindfulsoulcenter.co This definition includes anyone who may be hired in the future (covering all the bases as this is considered a legal document)
This site’s purpose and intention
The purpose of this site is to provide a platform for both readers and authors to share thoughts, ideas, facts and information for living a life fully awake building community. As a digital oasis and site that proclaims to promote consciousness in life, it is our intention to provide relevant content in various forms including written texts, printables, videos, gifs, and other images. It is also our intention to use any data collected by such tools as google analytics and other sites (you can read all the gobbly gook below for details) solely for the purposes of enhancing and improving the quality of the material created. The truth is there are billions of people on this planet and it actually helps anyone running a site or business to gather some data when we actually reach someone who is interested in our service to the world.
In compliance with the law
The Mindful Soul Center does its best to be in compliance with the law. Below you will find all of this gobbly gook (which is required and meant to protect both the producer of this site and the reader/user.) I have tried to simplify and be very clear, still there is some gobbly gook there too. This is a long document.
What is a data collection and Data and Privacy Policy?
A Data and Privacy Policy is an agreement that specifies what type of data a website collects from users and how that data will be used. The data is categorized as either “personal data” or “personally identifiable information.” Regulated data typically includes anything that can be used to identify an individual. Here’s how the GDPR defines both categories of personal data –
Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, also constitute personal data. Personal data that has been de-identified, encrypted or pseudonymised but can be used to re-identify a person remains personal data and falls within the scope of the law.
Personal data that has been rendered anonymous in such a way that the individual is not or no longer identifiable is no longer considered personal data. For data to be truly anonymised, the anonymisation must be irreversible.
The law protects personal data regardless of the technology used for processing that data – it’s technology neutral and applies to both automated and manual processing, provided the data is organised in accordance with pre-defined criteria (for example alphabetical order). It also doesn’t matter how the data is stored – in an IT system, through video surveillance, or on paper; in all cases, personal data is subject to the protection requirements set out in the GDPR.
The gobbly gook
Hey life’s too serious sometimes to not refer to all the legal jargon as what it mostly is and I did try to add ‘natural language’ in some places but I need to protect myself from the government too.

Closing Statement
In countries throughout the world laws differ and this site, the Mindful Soul Center https://mindfulsoulcenter.co or https://themindfulsoulcenter.com and me, Amy M. Adams, the owner intend to be in compliance with all laws. Regulations vary by geographical region and jurisdiction as well as by subject matter. That said, it is important to remember that laws are sometimes written for the people and sometimes they can be used to hurt people.
GDPR the new EU law I hope will protect people and seems like it is a step in the right direction. In the US laws are for the most part state by state and can differ and don’t have strict regulations like the EU’s law, let’s hope this changes to benefit people. It is the hope of The Mindful Soul Center that wherever in the world these laws are made and created that they will genuinely protect an individual and never be used to limit information on the internet including impeding freedom of speech. There is a danger with too much regulation and complex legalise and what not can really hurt the average person trying to make a living in the digital world. Conscious Life Space lives by the precept – do not harm.
