Dear Readers,
A new year usually starts with a fresh outlook and optimism, with possibility. But we’re not all in the same headspace each year as time marches forward. 2020 has left many with feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. So in this issue, there are two guides with concrete examples and steps to take to let go of negative thought forms without pretending they never happen and, deal with uncertainty. I hope they help.
We also greet the year with guidance from Deja Osbourne as she shares her inspirational art cards and messages with reminders and tips, and Helen Sanchez shares proactive steps in dealing with ageism in the workplace. We have some pieces to reflect upon and a poem too.
Even though I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher, my profession as a visual artist synchronizes with these. Consequently, I share this in some of my contributions to the magazine with faith that you will enjoy the visual and written presentation on Garuda the King of the Birds and the yoga pose garudasana and other articles. One of my greatest pleasures is to fulfil my purpose by sharing information about yoga and meditation with you knowing the benefits of these practices.
So without wasting any more time, I want thank all the writers and teachers who have made this issue possible. And want you to know that I appreciate you and thank you for bringing this publication into your life. Please feel free to write to me at amy@themindfulsoulcenter.com. Thank you for being here and supporting this work.
Namaste,
Amy M. Adams
