The womb is said to be the sacred seat of feminine power. When you are able to embody that power, through some of these practices above or many others that are available, you’ll find that you are more confident in your own skin, are able to release the roles and masks and can begin to attract a tribe that loves you for the beautiful, amazing soul that you absolutely are.

Feminine energy and womb wellness!

There is a collection of Universal Laws that govern our human experience. One of those is that of Duality. You might have heard the saying, As above, so below. As within, so with out? This is an example. The concept of duality in its simplest form refers to the polarity of something, though more modern thought acknowledges that while there are opposites, there is also a spectrum for each concept.

One of the dualities we see is that of gender. This concept doesn’t refer to your sexuality but rather to the nature of energy to be either more masculine or more feminine depending on variables like who we are, what we are thinking about, what challenges we are working through and so on.

Feminine energy embodies the nurturer, the healer and the peacemaker among other roles. This energy is about flow and it’s about being, rather than doing. It enjoys sensory experiences and thrives on textures, tastes, scent, soundscape and beauty. Feminine energy also enjoys communion, the coming together of people, places and objects.

So how can you harness this for your health? Some people would say that the womb is the sacred space for the feminine. And for that reason, it's important to set aside time for yourself, to nourish and care for yourself. Here are some of the ways that you can promote well-being.

Create a ritual.

A ritual is a practice that you engage in that uses the same sequence of steps each time you perform it. A ritual can be calming despite being a celebration of life. Examples of rituals can include bathing (maybe you choose a candle, soothing music, a special oil, a soul-book to read). Rituals give us time out from the day to heal, nourish and replenish.

Allow.

Receiving is a beautiful element of feminine energy though it’s also often the case that we find ourselves giving away much of our energy to others. Allowing involves the processes of opening up your spiritual energy to receive the gifts, the kind words, the acts of service and the time that others want to share with us. Re-filling our cup is not a selfish act, but one that is selfless because when we allow ourselves to replenish, we can continue to give our gifts to others.

Focus on being.

There is a delicate interplay between masculine and feminine energy and sometimes it’s helpful to remember that it’s okay (and important) to allow ourselves to be ourselves. Sometimes we become engaged in activities or behaviours because we feel that we should be doing them. When this happens and it doesn’t feel right, it can be an indication that you are out of alignment with your core values. What would happen if you allowed yourself to just be for a day, instead?

Listen.

You have an internal compass, a GPS that guides you each and every day, in each and every moment. When something feels off, or uncomfortable, it can be a sign that it’s out of accordance with your purpose or values. What would happen if you allowed yourself to really tune in to that feeling and change what you are doing until you felt differently, or even better? Gabby Bernstein calls her intuition her Inner Guidance System or ING. Abraham Hicks calls an inner GPS. It doesn’t matter what you call it, the message is the same. Listen, adjust and listen again.

Create.

The inclination to allow feminine energy to flow into creative pursuits is also something that may help the mind, body and soul in feeling healthier. Creative expression is a way that we can release inner thoughts, feelings and emotions in a way that is constructive, soothing, replenishing or nourishing. There are many ways to express yourself from cooking, to painting, dancing, talking, singing to vision-boarding, journaling and more. You’re only limited by your imagination and by what feels lightest for you.

Embody your power.
